CosWorx has an arrival date on the new, EXCLUSIVE wigs we designed! These have been in the planning stages for a very long time and, honestly, I've been bursting at the seams with joy now that I know they will be in!

LABOR DAY! LABOR DAY! LABOR DAY!

Their names are Ivy (superlong bangs), Scruffy (unisex shag) and Wisp (short, wispy cut) and would love to meet you.

They were designed from the ground up by us to fill the needs of cosplayers wanting to dress as some of the new, popular characters as well as the classics. All have a nice, roomy cap that even those of us with long hair can wear comfortably and all are made from soft, stylable Kanekalon fiber.


Oh, it gets better- CHECK OUT THAT COLOR PALLETE! There's all your old favorites and then some new ones like teal and grey/light color blends. Ever want to cosplay a character with muted pink hair but the standard colors had a bit too much punch? Problem solved!

To celebrate this grand new arrival, they are offered at a discount off their already bargain price for this short pre-order period. The wigs will start shipping soon after Labor Day (Sept. 7th is a safe estimate but could be earlier) from CosWorx HQ in Las Vegas, Nevada.

So yes, today is a very happy day indeed. These wigs are gonna make cosplay life SO MUCH easier.

In other news, Please pardon the lack of new tutorials lately. There are a few in the works, though! One is a super length "cheat" using an Amanda wig and another is an updo/ high ponytail. Styling a super-duper puff into the Ivy bangs is a possibility as well. All in due time, though ♥♥.

Possibly a stupid question... but what color chart should I use? Or just flip through each one and pick out what matches?

There are a few completely original colors that we created, though. Those are Teal, pink/grey, lightblue/grey, violet/grey. Everything else should be in the Sepia color chart:

We will get pictures of the brand new colors as soon as the shipment gets to Vegas. We have seen samples of them and they are AWESOME. The Teal is to die for!

Haha, k. I was wondering about the new colors, so I'll just wait to order once they're added to the chart~ I'm so glad you guys got those styles made! I've been contemplating ordering something similar from one of the Japanese shops, but no more! XD Thanks~

Yeah, I really liked some wigs I got from Japan a while ago, but I found it a little hard to get them up over all my hair. Then there were the different colors some of the Asian wig makers that were really cool and THEN the possibility of missing, but useful colors that no one had. Some companies, even US based ones, have very cool colors, but they are sometimes a little off or only on a couple styles (Forever Young is a good example of this, so is Eve Wigs)

It really all started with thinking "what do cosplayers need and... do we have that?" It's an effort to get closer to "YES" every time. Of course, not everything is possible and a lot of characters just don't come out of a wig bag :)

So... when making these, it was finding a happy medium of all the plusses of the US wigs everyone is familiar with and adding in some trendier styles with a cosplayer-geared twist. They also had to have a generous fit, a generous skin top and be able to take cosplay styling like a champ. After all this... THEN, everything needed to have a rocking color selection. I really think these wigs will have appeal outside of cosplay, too just because the colors are so neat.

I am really interested in scruffy but I am always afraid wigs like that are going to be too small for anyone with an above average skull size. Any idea of what the wig cap measures - 22 inches, 22.5, 23?

They were designed with a roomier cap to fit a variety of sizes. They aren't notoriously small like some cosplay wigs from overseas tend to be. We asked for them to be made with a roomy fit in mind.

I have tried the scruffy on my canvas wig block which is a 23, if that helps.

As for an exact measurement, I don't have that this second but could get one when I get back from Boston :)

Measurements when have time would really be appreciated. My skull measures 23.5 inches, so I have hard time fitting into shorter wigs - even if I can stretch them they usually are too short on sides/back. Know several other cosplayers with same issue.

I know I'm gonna spring for a couple Ivys and a Wisp. THEY ARE ALL SO CUTE! Ivy is so adorable just swept to the side with a barette and the bangs tease up SO NICE.

Gonna say it. Wisp reminds me of Reni. ♥

Scruffy is so Urahara it isn't even funny. If I could crossplay, I'd dress as Urahara every day.

The main colors are on the Sepia list. We had samples of the Burgundy, violet/grey and light blue at Fanime and the Teal at Anime Expo. Hmmm, I'll explain the other newbies from what I remember:

Pink/grey is a muted pink. Think Euphemia from Code Geass, maybe a little more muted.

Lightblue/grey is a ice color. very very light, icy blue

Lilac/grey is an icy, muted purple kind of like Maya from Tenjou Tenge.

Yellow/white is a super muted yellow, like a manga blonde. Less harsh than standard yellow but still happy.

N9 is a bleached out brassy blonde with golden roots. Very J-Rocky

Teal is a Sailorneptune-ish teal. Slightly blue weighted.

Can't wait for them to come so we can get pictures and be able to describe the colors even better.

Midnight Blue is pretty much SPOT ON for this. When I saw that series preview I totally thought of that.

I love Midnight Blue and Black Cherry sooooo much. I really need to cosplay something with one of those colors because it just looks neat.

How long will the wisp stay in stock on your site? I will be moving around a lot this year and wonder if I will still be able to purchase it in May around my birthday. :)

It really depends on the color; the darker ones are going really fast and we are already almost out of a few. May is a long way off, so there's no REAL way to tell what, if anything, will still be around :)
